description

OpenObserve versions before 0.90.3 expose runtime configuration to unauthenticated clients that can reach the HTTP service. PostgreSQL-backed deployments may disclose database connection credentials, while other deployments may reveal reporting credentials and internal configuration details; network access to the service is the precondition.

mitigation

Upgrade OpenObserve to version 0.90.3 or later. Until upgraded, restrict unauthenticated network access to the OpenObserve HTTP service and rotate any credentials that may have been exposed.
