description

Vulnerable WolfProt interface implementations in affected Cynap devices can allow an unauthenticated remote party to run operating-system commands as the application service. Exploitation requires network access to the vulnerable service.

mitigation

Upgrade Cynap Pure (Next Gen) and Cynap Bridge to 2.00c; Cynap Pro, Core Pro, Receiver, Pure, Pure Mini, and Pure Pro to 1.78a; and Cynap Videobar firmware to 1.72e. Until updates are recorded for Cynap, Cynap Core, and Cynap Pure SDM, restrict WolfProt service access to trusted networks.

fixed in 2.00c, 1.78a, 1.72e
