description

GetSimpleCMS-CE UpdateCE versions before 1.5 do not protect the update form against cross-site request forgery. An attacker can cause an authenticated administrator who visits a malicious page to initiate an attacker-directed update deployment, potentially resulting in code execution.

mitigation

Upgrade the UpdateCE package to version 1.5. Until upgrading, restrict access to administrative update functions and prevent administrators from using them while signed in from untrusted browsing contexts.

fixed in 1.5
