description

Apache bRPC deployments using the Redis service are affected before version 1.18.0. An unauthenticated remote attacker able to reach that service can submit malformed Redis-protocol input and crash the bRPC process; parsing occurs before authentication.

mitigation

Upgrade apache/brpc to version 1.18.0. Until upgraded, disable the Redis service or restrict Redis-protocol access to trusted clients.

fixed in 1.18.0
