description

FreePBX installations using security-reporting before 16.0.10 or 17.0.5 are affected by a path traversal flaw in sound-language upload and conversion handling. An authenticated attacker with a known username may write files to unintended locations and potentially execute code.

mitigation

Upgrade security-reporting to FreePBX 16.0.10 or 17.0.5, as appropriate for the deployed major version. Restrict access to FreePBX accounts and the administrative interface until the update is complete.

fixed in 17.0.5, 16.0.10
