CVE-2026-54634
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-gpcq-c37x-pr46 ↗EUVD-2026-82573 ↗
description
Hamlib rigctld versions before 4.7.2 contain a stack bounds error and an uninitialized-memory exposure in the send_raw command handler. An attacker able to reach the daemon can disrupt it, corrupt adjacent process memory, and obtain process-memory contents when the service accepts unauthenticated connections.
mitigation
Upgrade Hamlib to version 4.7.2 or later. Until upgraded, require rigctld authentication and restrict TCP port 4532 to trusted network sources.
outcome
Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
source signals
Public signals that triggered or updated the pipeline. These are inputs for the deltas above.
