description

OpenEMR versions before 8.5.0 contain an SQL injection flaw in the Syndromic Surveillance module. An attacker with Clinician-level access can read or alter database contents and may compromise administrative accounts.

mitigation

Upgrade OpenEMR to version 8.5.0 or later. Restrict Clinician-level accounts to trusted users until the upgrade is complete.

fixed in 8.5.0
