description

IBM DataPower Gateway 10.5.0.0–10.5.0.22, 10.6.0.0–10.6.0.10, 10.6.1–10.6.6, and 11.0.0.0–11.0.0.2 are affected. A remote attacker may execute code if an affected gateway processes specially formed RFC2047 encoded-word input.

mitigation

Restrict network access to DataPower services that process RFC2047-encoded input to trusted sources until IBM provides remediation guidance. Monitor IBM updates and apply the vendor-provided fix when released.

Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
