description

NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source can overflow worker-process heap memory while handling HTTP requests. An unauthenticated remote client may disrupt worker processes and could potentially execute code where ASLR is disabled or bypassed; affected deployments require the specified alias, rewrite, $request_filename, or logging configuration.

mitigation

Upgrade NGINX Plus to 37.1.0.1 or 37.0.5.1, as appropriate for the supported release branch, and upgrade NGINX Open Source to 1.31.7 or 1.30.6. Until upgraded, remove or revise affected $request_filename uses in alias/rewrite locations and access-log formats where feasible.

fixed in 37.1.0.1, 37.0.5.1, *, 1.31.7, 1.30.6
