description

Treeio versions through 2.0 deserialize unsafe stored data in feed-related settings. A staff user with Django admin access may cause code to run with the web application's privileges when affected feeds are rendered.

mitigation

Restrict Django admin access and remove staff permissions from untrusted accounts, especially permissions to edit feed and module settings. Until a vendor-fixed release is confirmed, prevent affected records from being rendered and review existing administrative changes for suspicious stored values.
