CVE-2026-123792
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-hwfg-qwvh-2wfx ↗EUVD-2026-118309 ↗
description
Symfony applications using affected YAML parsing releases can consume excessive CPU or memory when processing hostile YAML, potentially exhausting PHP workers and disrupting service. An attacker must be able to submit data that the application parses as YAML; request payload handling may expose this when YAML content types are accepted.
mitigation
Upgrade symfony/yaml or symfony/symfony to 5.4.56, 6.4.50, 7.4.23, or 8.1.11, as appropriate for the maintained branch. Restrict endpoints to expected input formats and do not accept YAML from untrusted clients unless required.
fixed in 5.4.56, 6.4.50, 7.4.23, 8.1.11
outcome
Contextual, not validated: no deterministic check could cover this one, and no technique passed our review.
