description

The Google Cloud DNS validation module in OPNsense os-acme-client through version 4.17 is affected by OS command injection. An authenticated user authorized to issue or renew certificates through the WebGUI or API may execute commands as root.

mitigation

Disable use of the Google Cloud DNS validation module until a vendor-fixed release is confirmed. Restrict WebGUI and API certificate issuance or renewal privileges to only trusted administrators.
