description

Chainguard MinIO releases before RELEASE.2026-09-22T19-25-18Z have an AWS Signature Version 4 verification flaw. An attacker with a presigned PUT URL may be able to expand its authorization and read data from a different bucket.

mitigation

Upgrade MinIO to RELEASE.2026-09-22T19-25-18Z or later. Until upgraded, restrict distribution and lifetime of presigned PUT URLs.

fixed in RELEASE.2026-09-22T19-25-18Z
