description

Optimole for WordPress versions through 4.2.18 are affected by stored cross-site scripting in comment handling. An unauthenticated attacker may cause scripts to run in visitors' browsers after an administrator approves a malicious comment on a post containing an iframe or video element.

mitigation

Update Optimole to a vendor release newer than 4.2.18 when one is available; no fixed version is recorded. Until then, restrict or disable comment approval and avoid posts with iframe or video elements where feasible.
