description

evoweb/sf-register versions before 14.0.3 and 13.2.5 inadequately validate authorization for email-linked frontend-user actions. An unauthenticated attacker may access usernames or email addresses and delete accounts of active frontend users when the affected actions are reachable.

Still under analysis: more detail becomes available as the pipeline runs.

mitigation

Upgrade evoweb/sf-register to 14.0.3 or 13.2.5, as appropriate for the deployed branch. Until upgraded, restrict access to the extension's email-linked account action endpoints where possible.

fixed in 14.0.3, 13.2.5
