description

WAVLINK WN536AX6-A devices running firmware V260507 are affected by a stack-based buffer overflow in the OpenVPN handler. A remote unauthenticated attacker may overwrite stack memory through the affected handler. Exploitation requires network access to that service on an affected device.

mitigation

Disable the OpenVPN service if it is not required, or restrict access to trusted networks and administrators only. Monitor for and apply a vendor firmware update when one becomes available.
