description

Nagios XI releases before 2026R2 are affected in the MIB upload functionality. An authenticated administrator may cause commands to execute with the web server's privileges through a specially named uploaded file.

Still under analysis: more detail becomes available as the pipeline runs.

mitigation

Upgrade Nagios XI to version 2026R2. Until the upgrade is complete, restrict administrator access and disable or limit MIB uploads where feasible.

fixed in 2026R2
