description

OpenDeepWiki through 2.0.6 includes a publicly known JWT signing key. An unauthenticated attacker can forge administrator tokens and access administrative API endpoints if those endpoints are reachable.

mitigation

Replace the configured JWT signing key with a strong secret that is not stored in publicly accessible source or configuration files, and invalidate existing tokens. Restrict access to administrative API endpoints until an upstream fixed release is available.

automationDeterministic: a check that runs on its own, the same request on every target. Contextual: an agentic technique that needs to be applied per target, for bugs that depend on contextual flows.

auth requiredWhether an attacker needs an account first, based on the CVSS vector's Privileges Required.

outcome

Differential: the exploit fired on the vulnerable build and stayed silent on the patched one.
