description

TranslatePress for WordPress through version 3.3.8 can retain malicious browser content submitted through comments and present it to people viewing an affected page. An unauthenticated attacker must have a name and email pair with an earlier approved comment under WordPress's default prior-comment trust setting, and the site must use a secondary language.

mitigation

Disable secondary-language use in TranslatePress or deactivate the plugin until a corrected upstream release is identified. Disable automatic approval for previously approved commenters and review affected pages and comments for untrusted content.

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
