description

Tenda W18E devices expose an OS command injection flaw in the web management packet-capture function. An attacker may cause commands to run with elevated device privileges after authenticating, or without authentication when the device remains in its factory-reset state.

mitigation

Restrict management-interface access to trusted administrator networks and promptly complete initial setup on reset devices, including setting administrative credentials. Remove factory-reset devices from untrusted networks until they are configured.
