description

LatePoint for WordPress through version 5.7.6 can permit an unauthenticated party to take over a customer account by abusing public password-recovery processing. A reachable public plugin endpoint and an affected customer account are required; linked WordPress customer or subscriber accounts may also be exposed when that integration is enabled.

mitigation

Restrict or disable LatePoint's public password-recovery and order-related AJAX functionality until a vendor-corrected release is identified, or deactivate the plugin where this cannot be done. Review customer account changes and reset potentially affected credentials.
