description

svg-sanitizer versions 0.5.3 through before 1.1.0 are affected by a denial-of-service flaw in SVG sanitization. An unauthenticated attacker who can upload SVG files can cause excessive worker CPU consumption during processing.

Still under analysis: more detail becomes available as the pipeline runs.

mitigation

Upgrade svg-sanitizer to version 1.1.0 or later. Restrict untrusted SVG uploads until the upgrade is complete.

fixed in 1.1.0
