description

FreeSWITCH before 1.11.3 can allow inbound SIP MESSAGE traffic to reach a command-capable interface. An attacker who can deliver an accepted MESSAGE to an affected SIP profile may execute FreeSWITCH API commands with the privileges of the FreeSWITCH process.

Still under analysis: more detail becomes available as the pipeline runs.

mitigation

Upgrade FreeSWITCH to >= 1.11.3 or later.

fixed in >= 1.11.3
