CVE-2026-116693
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-x94g-w73q-hpcw ↗EUVD-2026-111384 ↗
description
dd-trace-js versions from 2.0.0 before 5.131.1 or 6.20.1 use a default query-string obfuscation pattern susceptible to excessive processing. An attacker able to send requests with controlled URL query strings may exhaust CPU and disrupt availability of the instrumented application. Exposure depends on the default obfuscation setting being in use and attacker-controlled requests reaching the application.
mitigation
Upgrade dd-trace-js to 5.131.1 or 6.20.1. Until upgrade is complete, replace or disable the default query-string obfuscation regular expression to reduce exposure.
fixed in 5.131.1, 6.20.1
outcome
No artifact: an exploit or check was attempted but could not be produced at this moment.
