description

Tanium Threat Response deployments that have not been updated to a listed corrected release may be vulnerable to OS command injection. A remote attacker with valid low-privilege access could execute code, although successful exploitation requires meeting a high-complexity condition.

mitigation

Update Threat Response to 4.9.480, 4.12.353, or 4.17.333, as appropriate for the deployed release branch. Until updates are installed, restrict network access to the service and limit low-privilege accounts.

fixed in 4.9.480, 4.12.353, 4.17.333
