description

dd-trace-py versions 3.13.0 through 4.15.4 can allow IAST string instrumentation to terminate the Python process when legacy percent-style formatting handles untrusted input. An attacker can interrupt affected application work only where IAST is enabled and the application applies that formatting operation to attacker-controlled data.

mitigation

Upgrade dd-trace-py to version 4.15.5 or later. Disable IAST where it is not needed until the upgrade is complete.

fixed in >= 4.15.5
