description

Firecrawl versions before 2.11.586 are affected by an SSRF protection bypass in the Playwright service. An attacker controlling DNS for a scrape target may cause the scrape API to access internal resources or cloud metadata endpoints. Exploitation requires control of DNS resolution for the target being scraped.

mitigation

Upgrade Firecrawl to version 2.11.586 or later. Until upgraded, restrict scraping of attacker-controlled targets and limit the service's network access to internal and metadata endpoints.

fixed in 2.11.586

automationDeterministic: a check that runs on its own, the same request on every target. Contextual: an agentic technique that needs to be applied per target, for bugs that depend on contextual flows.

auth requiredWhether an attacker needs an account first, based on the CVSS vector's Privileges Required.
