CVE-2026-115557
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-x547-2835-q547 ↗EUVD-2026-109299 ↗
description
CPython's ssl module may accept certificates known to be compromised when certificate revocation checking is not configured. A network attacker able to present such a certificate chain could undermine TLS peer authentication for affected connections.
mitigation
Enable certificate revocation checking for SSL contexts and restrict trusted certificate authorities to those required by the application. Upgrade to a CPython release that includes the ssl certificate distrust list when the applicable release is identified.
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
source signals
