description

Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo versions 6.0 through 6.5.2.202603a are affected in builds that enable BSD raw sockets and IPv6. A remote attacker may cause a sending thread to crash by exhausting destination-table capacity when an application performs a qualifying IPv6 raw-socket send; the affected network path also requires an unresolved default-router neighbour entry.

mitigation

Disable BSD raw socket support or IPv6 where they are not required. Until Eclipse provides a fixed release, limit untrusted network access to affected devices and avoid IPv6 raw-socket sends with header inclusion in the affected configuration.

fixed in 6.5.2.202603b
