description

UnrealIRCd 6.0.0 through 6.2.7.0 is affected by improper handling of IRCv3 label message tags in the labeled-response module. A user may cause injected server-to-server commands to execute with server authority on networks with two or more linked servers.

Still under analysis: more detail becomes available as the pipeline runs.

mitigation

Upgrade UnrealIRCd to version 6.2.7.1 or later. Until upgraded, reduce exposure by disabling the labeled-response module or avoiding linked-server configurations where feasible.

fixed in 6.2.7.1
