description

vLLM versions 0.7.3 through versions before 0.31.0 are affected when remote model code trust is enabled. An attacker who controls a revision in a served model repository may run Python in the vLLM API process by reaching the unauthenticated tokenization endpoint.

mitigation

Upgrade vLLM to version 0.31.0 or later. Until upgraded, disable remote code trust and restrict access to the tokenization endpoint.

fixed in 0.31.0
