description

dotnet eShop revisions through 913acea66708a59595351174cee9b29f37179d29 may incorrectly authenticate requests handled by the Catalog API. A remote, unauthenticated party may be able to take advantage of the authentication weakness when the affected API is reachable over the network; the available evidence does not define the exact application impact.

mitigation

Restrict network access to the Catalog API and place it behind independently enforced authentication until a corrected upstream revision is available and validated. Monitor upstream for a fix, as the evidence does not provide a fixed version.
