description

Photo Engine for WordPress versions before 6.5.8 do not adequately enforce ownership checks when media attachments are deleted. An authenticated Author-level user or higher may delete attachments belonging to other users, including administrators.

mitigation

Upgrade Photo Engine to version 6.5.8 or later. Until upgraded, restrict untrusted users from Author and higher roles where feasible.

fixed in 6.5.8
