description

Google Brotli decoder versions 1.0.3 through 1.2.0 are affected by a buffer overflow during Brotli stream processing. An unauthenticated attacker may cause memory disclosure, denial of service, or potential code execution where an application decodes Brotli-compressed data supplied by the attacker.

mitigation

Upgrade github.com/google/brotli to 1.0.10, 1.1.1, or 1.2.1, as appropriate for the maintained release line. Until upgraded, restrict processing of untrusted Brotli-compressed input.

fixed in 1.0.10, 1.1.1, 1.2.1
