description

Driftregion iso14229 versions before 0.10.1 incorrectly validate a path-length field in RequestFileTransfer handling. An unauthenticated attacker able to reach the service may trigger out-of-bounds reads, potentially disclosing memory or crashing the target.

mitigation

Upgrade driftregion iso14229 to version 0.10.1 or later. Restrict access to the affected diagnostic service until the upgrade is complete.

fixed in 0.10.1
