CVE-2026-110759
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-v3f5-7p3g-9fm4 ↗EUVD-2026-103199 ↗
description
Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 can add an unexpected byte to a parsed empty trailing field. An attacker able to supply CSV data may cause this result when an input record ends with a delimiter followed by a standalone carriage return; UTF-8-marked input can also yield malformed text.
mitigation
Upgrade Text::CSV_XS to version 1.65 or later. Until upgraded, reject or normalize CSV records that end with an empty field followed by a standalone carriage return before parsing.
fixed in 1.65
outcome
Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
