description

Text::CSV_XS versions earlier than 1.65 can produce malformed CSV when data previously treated as numeric is passed to combine or print. An attacker able to control such field values may cause line breaks to create unintended CSV rows, particularly with the default binary-mode setting.

mitigation

Upgrade Text::CSV_XS to version 1.65 or later. Until upgraded, reject or normalize record-delimiter characters in untrusted fields before numeric validation and CSV output.

fixed in 1.65
