description

AI Engine for WordPress versions through 3.8.6 leave MCP OAuth client registration accessible without authorization. An unauthenticated actor can register a client that may obtain administrator-equivalent MCP access if an administrator approves the resulting authorization request.

mitigation

Disable the MCP module or block unauthenticated access to its OAuth client-registration route until a corrected release is available. Do not approve unexpected MCP authorization requests, and apply the vendor's fixed release when published.
