description

Komodo through 2.3.3 is affected when the Periphery agent is deployed with empty trusted-Core public-key and passkey lists. An unauthenticated attacker who can reach the agent on port 8120 may be accepted as a trusted Core and perform management operations on managed hosts, potentially including command execution.

mitigation

Configure nonempty trusted-Core public-key and passkey allowlists before exposing the Periphery agent. Restrict access to port 8120 to authorized Core systems and trusted administration networks until an updated release is available.
