description

LifterLMS for WordPress versions through 10.3.1 are affected by a local file inclusion vulnerability in checkout shortcode processing. An authenticated user with Instructor-level access or higher may cause server files to be included, potentially exposing sensitive data, bypassing access controls, or enabling code execution when suitable attacker-controlled files are present.

mitigation

Upgrade to a release newer than 10.3.1 if one is available from the vendor. Until then, restrict Instructor-level and higher accounts to trusted users, review such accounts, and limit file-upload capabilities.
