description

mcp-go versions through 1.2.1 are affected in StreamableHTTPServer request handling. A remote unauthenticated client can cause excessive memory consumption and potentially terminate the service by submitting oversized or highly concurrent POST requests to a reachable server.

mitigation

Enforce POST body-size and concurrent-request limits at a reverse proxy or other upstream gateway before requests reach StreamableHTTPServer. Restrict public access to affected endpoints until an updated release is identified and deployed.
