description

PhpSpreadsheet versions before 1.30.7, 2.1.19, 2.4.8, 3.10.8, and 5.10.0 are affected when processing attacker-controlled XLSX files. An attacker may cause entity-expansion denial of service; local file access or server-side request forgery may also be possible on PHP before 8.0 or when LIBXML_NOENT is enabled.

mitigation

Upgrade PhpSpreadsheet to 1.30.7, 2.1.19, 2.4.8, 3.10.8, or 5.10.0, as appropriate for the deployed release line. Avoid processing untrusted XLSX files until upgraded, and do not enable LIBXML_NOENT.

fixed in 5.10.0, 3.10.8, 2.4.8, 2.1.19, 1.30.7
