description

Pingvin Share X versions 0.19.0 through before 1.22.0 are affected by an OAuth/OIDC email-linking authentication flaw. An unauthenticated attacker may take over accounts, including administrator accounts, when automatic account linking is enabled and an identity provider can provide an unverified email identity.

mitigation

Upgrade Pingvin Share X to version 1.22.0 or later. Until upgrading, disable automatic OAuth/OIDC email linking and avoid providers or configurations that permit unverified email claims.

fixed in 1.22.0
