CVE-2026-107846
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-8vv3-6qpc-gpw6 ↗EUVD-2026-117051 ↗
description
bitcoinjs-lib versions 2.3.0 through releases before 5.2.1, 6.1.8, and 7.0.2 can accept mutated transaction lists during block-root validation. A peer may cause applications such as explorers, indexers, or SPV clients to treat duplicate transactions as valid or reject a legitimate block. Exposure requires an application to rely on the affected block-root validation when processing peer-provided blocks.
mitigation
Upgrade bitcoinjs-lib to 5.2.1, 6.1.8, or 7.0.2, as appropriate for the maintained release line. Until upgraded, do not rely solely on the affected library validation for peer-supplied block transaction lists.
fixed in 5.2.1, 6.1.8, 7.0.2
outcome
Contextual, not validated: no deterministic check could cover this one, and no technique passed our review.
