description

nginx-ui versions before 2.5.0 can disclose cluster-node credentials through node-management responses to ordinary authenticated users. A user who can obtain such a credential may authenticate as a trusted node to a reachable cluster member and access privileged management operations; this requires a low-privileged account and a configured, reachable cluster node.

mitigation

Upgrade nginx-ui to version 2.5.0. Until upgraded, restrict node-management endpoints to administrators, prevent node credentials from being returned in API responses, and limit node-management network access to trusted paths.

fixed in 2.5.0
