description

nginx-ui versions 2.0.0 through 2.4.3 allow browser-sent token cookies to authenticate cross-site requests to management endpoints without universal CSRF or origin validation. An attacker who can entice a logged-in administrator to visit a malicious site may cause administrative changes, including Nginx configuration updates or reload-related actions. Exploitation requires an active administrator session; some actions may also depend on the account or endpoint not requiring secure-session verification.

mitigation

Upgrade nginx-ui to version 2.5.0. Until upgrading, restrict access to the management interface to trusted networks and avoid browser sessions for administrator accounts where possible.

fixed in 2.5.0
