description

nginx-ui does not enforce WebAuthn as a second factor for accounts that have a passkey configured but no TOTP secret. An attacker who knows such an account's password can obtain an authenticated session and access administrative functionality without the registered passkey.

mitigation

Update the Go package to 1.9.10-0.20260728074558-95cd21b70814. For nginx-ui release deployments, upgrade to version 2.5.0 or later; until upgraded, require TOTP for accounts using password login rather than relying on passkey-only protection.
