description

PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce versions through 5.16.4 are affected by stored cross-site scripting. An unauthenticated attacker able to submit affected checkout or order-note data can cause script to run in the browser of a user who later views the generated content.

mitigation

Upgrade to a release newer than 5.16.4 after confirming it fixes this issue; the evidence does not identify a specific fixed version. Until then, limit untrusted submission of checkout billing and customer-note data, or disable public checkout where feasible.

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
