description

Mapster WP Maps for WordPress through version 2.0.5 is affected by stored cross-site scripting. An unauthenticated attacker can store script content that executes when a user visits a page containing an affected map. Exploitation requires the plugin's exposed REST endpoint to be reachable and an injected map to be rendered.

mitigation

Disable the Mapster WP Maps plugin or restrict unauthenticated access to its REST endpoint until a corrected release is available. Update promptly when the vendor publishes a fixed version.

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
