description

Hazelcast Community and Enterprise editions are affected by improper validation of data supplied by clients that can connect to a cluster. A low-privileged malicious client may read cluster-member memory or cause members to crash; some Enterprise configurations may also allow memory corruption. Exploitation requires client access to the cluster.

mitigation

Upgrade com.hazelcast:hazelcast to version 5.7.0. Until upgraded, restrict cluster access to trusted clients, enforce client authorization, and protect the cluster with network controls.

fixed in 5.7.0
